Demonic Pacts League/Areas

Demonic Pacts League area selection interface

In the Demonic Pacts League, players will be locked to only certain areas in the game. All players begin locked to Varlamore and will unlock Karamja for free when they achieve their first region unlock after completing 80 tasks. Up to 3 other regions of their choice can be unlocked through completing 200, 300, and 450 tasks, respectively.

Travel between regions is restricted by barriers unless a player has access to the appropriate areas. Death's office, the player-owned house, random events, Zanaris and the Abyssal Area will be accessible from all areas. Use of transportation methods such as charter ships, fairy rings, gnome gliders, etc. will require the destination area be unlocked before they can be used.

Sailing is disabled in the Demonic Pacts League and cannot be used to travel between regions.

There are a total of 10 areas: Asgarnia, Fremennik Province, Kandarin, Karamja, Desert, Morytania, Tirannwn, Wilderness, Kebos and Kourend, and Varlamore.

Unlike in previous leagues, Misthalin is not accessible.

General information

The following boosts apply to all regions:

Echo bosses

Each region except for Karamja has a unique echo boss, a challenging variant of an existing boss, which targets difficulty levels more suited to the power level that players attain during leagues. Echo bosses drop very powerful echo equipment, which are guaranteed to drop if you exceed 2x the drop rate.

In order to access an echo boss, the player must acquire the region's echo orb from the non-echo variant of the boss and have it in their inventory while entering the boss area. Unlike Awakener's orbs, echo orbs are not consumed upon entry, and only one orb is needed for access to the boss for the entire League.

Varlamore

Varlamore covers the entirety of Varlamore, including the island of Aldarin as well as the Stranglewood. Notable settlements include Civitas illa Fortis, Aldarin, Cam Torum, Tal Teklan, and Auburnvale. Notable activities include the Fortis Colosseum, Moons of Peril, Vardorvis, the Hunter Guild, Colossal Wyrm Agility Course, wealthy citizen thieving and stealing valuables in Civitas illa Fortis, Amoxliatl, Hueycoatl, Mastering Mixology, Vale Totems, and the Doom of Mokhaiotl.

As the starting region, many quests are automatically unlocked when beginning the league. Notable Varlamore-specific content that is auto-completed are the quests Perilous Moons and Twilight's Promise, and the combat achievements Back to Our Roots and Demonic Rebound.

Notable drops

  1. ^ Per moon. Each moon killed rolls this unique chance separately, and if rolled successfully will give a random non-duplicate piece of their equipment.
  2. ^ Chance of any individual piece of moons equipment. Because of the duplicate protection, this chance is only applicable after all pieces of a set have been received, or before any piece of the set has been. Otherwise, the chance will be somewhere between this number and the number above depending on the number of pieces remaining.
  3. ^ In contrast to the main game, during leagues every Desert Treasure II boss will drop all pieces of the Soulreaper axe. Players will not receive duplicate pieces of the axe until a full one has been created.
  4. ^ To receive the ultor ring, the player must roll an invisible drop on the tradeable unique table, which has a drop rate of ~1/362.66 in the main game. The first roll will cause a gold ring to appear and increment a hidden variable, while the second drops two gold rings; when the third such roll occurs, the ring is dropped and the variable is reset.
  5. ^ Drops as a completed item
  6. ^ With the 5x droprate multiplier, the droprate for a specific virtus outfit piece is ~1/649
