Overview
The fundamentals of training Cooking in the Demonic Pacts League is not significantly different from in the main game, although could be impacted by the choice of relics which may offer benefits such as automatically cooking fish or other food, noting or unnoting items without use of a bank, etc.
As most shop stock does not deplete in the league, raw fish and other cooking ingredients can be purchased very quickly from some fishing shops, food shops, and cooking shops for training Cooking.
For players who have accumulated large amounts of grapes (,
,
or
), making jugs of wine can be a fast way to train Cooking. However, only stores in
sell jugs of water, so players must manually fill the jugs themselves, either through a compatible water source or through the Lunar spellbook (
or
[a], if not taking
Grimoire (Demonic Pacts League)). Empty jug packs can be bought at most general stores. The closest water sources for jugs and a bank can be found in Aldarin. Otherwise, Frost Nagua and the Abyssal Sire are the only sources for jugs of water.
Cooking is affected by the following relics:
Hotfoot gives the player the searing boots. Along with various Agility-related benefits, when the boots are equipped, they will automatically cook fish that are caught, granting Cooking XP.
Butler's Bell allows the player to summon a demon butler who can perform various activities for them, such as cooking raw fish (7 per minute), even when offline. This provides 10 Cooking XP per resource.
Transmute allows the player to transmute raw fish into other kinds of fish, allowing for gathering higher-level fish worth more Cooking XP as well as access to resources that otherwise might not be available in their regions, such as dark crabs
and anglerfish
Training
Assuming no relics are taken to affect banking, the following are convenient fires/ranges to train Cooking on, when using a bank:
| Region | Location | Distance to bank | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mor Ul Rek Inner City sulphur vent | 0 | Requires a fire cape. A sulphur vent is adjacent to the inner city's bank chest. | |
| Rogues' Den fire | 0 | A fire is adjacent to the banker Emerald Benedict. Players should note that burn rates are higher on fires than stoves. | |
| Ruins of Unkah fire | 6 | While visually a fire, the fire near the Tempoross dock actually functions as a range, meaning an improved success rate compared to a "normal" fire. | |
| Myths' Guild range | 0 | A stove is adjacent to the bank chest, making it better than the Rogues' Den fire or Mor Ul Rek's sulphur vent because stoves offer reduced burn rates. | |
| Hosidius Kitchen range | 6 | Increases chance to successfully cook by 5% (10% upon completing the elite Kourend & Kebos Diary). | |
| Hunter Guild | 3 | The banker can only be used at level 46 Hunter, but the nearby bank chest can be used by all players. | |
| Picaria's Fishing Shop | N/A | Picaria sells a variety of raw fish up to Raw swordfish that are directly next to a range in the same building, allowing for quick cooking training without fishing yourself. Raw bass are especially notable for being half the price of swordfish, while granting nearly the same amount of experience when cooked. |
Food shops
Several shops sell raw fish or other ingredients which can be purchased in bulk for training Cooking. The following list is not exhaustive, but includes the most useful in each region.
