Overview
Basic training of Crafting in the Demonic Pacts League is not significantly different from the main game, with the exception that buying crafting materials from shops becomes more viable, as most shops have infinite stock.
Most standard crafting methods are easily available in the starting region of Varlamore. Gold, silver, and clay rocks can be found in several areas; Artima's Crafting Supplies sells crafting tools; gems and glassblowing supplies can be bought from several shops; flax can be picked and spun in Nemus Retreat and the Quetzacalli Gorge; and Chouani in Auburnvale serves as a tanner.
Crafting is modified by the following relics:
Endless Harvest gives twice as many Mining resources, which are automatically banked. This can allow for quick gathering of gold ore, silver ore, clay, and uncut gems (especially with a charged amulet of glory).
Larcenist allows the player to automatically pickpocket TzHaar or steal from gem stalls with 100% success rate, giving 10 times the normal amount of resources which are noted. This can allow for quick gathering of uncut sapphires, emeralds, rubies and diamonds.
Grimoire can be used to freely swap between all spellbooks and gives access to spells regardless of area, quest, or diary requirements. Provided a source of astral runes is found, Lunar spells such as Superglass Make can be used without unlocking Fremennik
or Kandarin
(with 99 Magic for a Magic cape).
Butler's Bell allows the player to summon a demon butler who can perform various activities for them, including spinning flax into bow strings (25 per minute), even while offline. This provides 10 Crafting XP per resource.
Transmute allows the player to transmute resources into other, more useful resources: tannable hides, uncut gems, and the crafting ores (silver, gold, and clay). This can give access to resources otherwise not easily available in their region, such as black dragonhide.
Training
An ideal way to jumpstart Crafting training is by completing Death on the Isle. Even at Tier 1, the 5,000 XP reward is enough to immediately reach level 36 Crafting.
Most other standard crafting methods are also available in Varlamore, although they may be made more efficient with other regions.
Glassblowing
A glassblowing pipe, buckets of sand, and soda ash can all be purchased from charter ship shops in Civitas illa Fortis, the Sunset Coast, and Aldarin.
Giant seaweed, which is popularly used with Superglass Make in the main game, is not available in this league.
| Item | Region | Notes | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bucket of sand | May be purchased from charter ship shops. If gathering sand yourself, the sand pit on Zanaris is the closest in the starting area to a bank. The fastest way to obtain buckets of sand without purchasing them is by mining sandstone in the Quarry and grinding it with Sandstorm | ||
| Soda ash | May be purchased from charter ship shops. Otherwise, can be made by cooking seaweed on a range or fire. Seaweed can be picked up from spawns, purchased from charter ship shops, or received as a monster drop, most notably from Kraken | ||
| Superglass Make | Requires level 77 Magic. A player must be on the Lunar spellbook to cast this spell. Each cast requires 10 | ||
Gem cutting
Because most shops in the league have infinite stock, cutting gems and reselling them can be a lucrative and fast method to train Crafting.
| Region | Shop | Uncut gems sold |
|---|---|---|
| Toci's Gem Store | Uncut sapphires (3), uncut emeralds (2), uncut ruby (1) | |
| TzHaar-Hur-Rin's Ore and Gem Store | Uncut sapphires (10), uncut emeralds (7), uncut rubies (4), uncut diamonds (2), uncut onyx (1) | |
| TzHaar-Hur-Lek's Ore and Gem Store | Uncut sapphire (1), uncut emerald (1), uncut onyx (1) | |
| Herquin's Gems. | Uncut sapphire (1) | |
| Gem Trader. | Uncut sapphire (1), uncut emerald (1) |
Stores in Mor Ul Rek only sell gems for tokkul and do not buy cut gems. However, gems can be purchased from these stores and sold to other stores for gold, albeit much more slowly than buying and selling from the same shop.
The best stores to sell to are Herquin's Gems. and Gem Trader.
as they have the lowest stock and therefore the best prices. However, all of the following stores purchase cut sapphires, emeralds, rubies, and diamonds:
Jewellery
Crafting jewellery is a more click-intensive but viable option for training Crafting. All of the materials can be obtained in Varlamore, although some may be more accessible in other regions.
Gold and silver ore can be mined in several places in Varlamore, with the closest to a bank being Mistrock mine. They can also be purchased from the Blast Furnace or silver bars can be purchased or stolen from silver stalls
.
Gems can purchased from the above shops, or mined from gem rocks in Shilo Village or Lunar Isle
.
Balls of wool for stringing amulets can be made by spinning wool from alpacas west of Civitas illa Fortis, or purchased from shops in several other regions . They are also relatively common drops from ice trolls
.
Jewellery moulds can be purchased from Artima's Crafting Supplies in Civitas illa Fortis.
Leatherworking
Cow hides, blue dragonhide, and red dragonhide are all accessible in the starting regions, from cows in Zanaris, blue dragons in the Ruins of Tapoyauik and Dragon Nest, and red dragons in the Dragon Nest respectively. They can be tanned with Chouani in Auburnvale. Needle and thread are available from many shops, such as Artima's Crafting Supplies in Civitas illa Fortis, the Cam Torum General Store, or the Auburnvale General Store, or can be replaced with the costume needle, a reward from completing Death on the Isle.
Other tanners may be cheaper or more convenient in other areas:
| Region | Tanner | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Chouani | Located in western Auburnvale. Has higher prices than standard tanners. | |
| Ellis | Located in Al Kharid, near the bank. | |
| Crafting Guild | Requires level 40 Crafting and a brown apron to enter the guild. The tanner is located on 1st floor. | |
| Requires the Fremennik Hard Diary and level 78 Magic, or the Grimoire relic. A player must be on the Lunar spellbook to cast this spell. Each cast requires 5 | ||
| Leatherworker | Located in the Ranging Guild, requiring level 40 Ranged to enter. No right-click option is available, so players must manually speak to and navigate through the NPC's chat to access the tannery interface. | |
| Eodan | He tans hides in the Forthos Dungeon at a higher cost than other tanners, but this can be reduced by completing parts of the Kourend & Kebos Diary. | |
| Mary | Located on the farm south of the Farming Guild. Requires the completion of Getting Ahead to use. | |
| Sbott | Located in Canifis, near the bank. Charges twice as much as other tanners (+45 gp/item max). |
Spinning flax
Flax can be spun into bowstrings at a spinning wheel or with the Spin Flax spell in the Lunar spellbook (requires or the Grimoire relic). In the starting area, it can be picked at Nemus Retreat and noted with the Tool Leprechaun, or spun immediately on the nearby spinning wheel. Quetzacalli Gorge also has numerous flax plants near a spinning wheel and bank.
Bowstrings can be used for Fletching experience.
| Method | Region | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Vale Totems | Bales of flax are a common reward and can be opened for 25 flax each. | |
| Zulrah | Frequently drops flax in increments of 1,000, for up to 2,000 per kill. | |
| Seers' Village spinning wheel | Allows players to spin flax 33% faster with completion of the Kandarin medium diary. | |
| Spin Flax | Requires level 76 Magic. A player must be on the Lunar spellbook or using the Grimoire relic to cast this spell. Each cast requires 5 | |
| Managing Miscellania | Produces a maximum of 1,250 flax per day. | |
| Manually picking flax | Various |

Battlestaves
Attaching elemental orbs to battlestaves can be a fast source of Crafting experience, with a good source of both orbs and battlestaves. In Varlamore, the only sources of battlestaves are the Abyssal Sire and eclectic implings. However, elemental orbs are much easier to get. Water orbs are a common drop from the Lunar Chest, as well as Amoxliatl and frost naguas, while air orbs are commonly dropped by the Hueycoatl.
Some shops sell battlestaves, or they can be gotten as a drop from several monsters.

Other training methods
Creating crystal equipment using a singing bowl in Prifddinas is an expensive but very fast way to gain Crafting and Smithing XP. With boosted drop rates, crystal armour seeds and crystal weapon seeds can be acquired from The Gauntlet, along with crystal shards. Unneeded crystal seeds (including enhanced crystal teleport seeds from pickpocketing or crystal tool seeds from Zalcano) can be exchanged with Amrod for additional crystal shards. With sufficient gold available, crystal weapon seeds can be purchased from Islwyn for this purpose.
Repairing barricades within Pest Control grants a low amount of Crafting experience, as well as a moderate amount of activity points within the mini-game, making it a minor auxiliary method for busy Pest Control games.
Crafting birdhouses offers a low amount of Crafting XP, but as birdhouses serve no purpose in this league, this is not a recommended method.
