TokKul is the currency of Mor Ul Rek. It is made from obsidian and cannot be created by players. As it is a currency, TokKul dropped by monsters can be automatically collected if the player is wearing a ring of wealth.

TokKul is made out of the corpses of the TzHaar, as stated in the 17th Postbag from the Hedge letter. When asked why players cannot trade TokKul, TzHaar-Hur-Lek responded:

There are several ways to get TokKul:

• Selling items to shops in Mor Ul Rek. Stores have significantly higher buying prices while the Karamja gloves 1 or better are worn.
  • TzHaar-Mej-Roh's Rune Store buys runes. Selling chaos runes is a popular method for Ironmen, because even at low levels they can be acquired in large quantities by buying them from rune stores, runecrafting, drops from monsters, or through Barrows with the hard morytania diary completed.
  • TzHaar-Hur-Lek's Ore and Gem Store buys ores and uncut gems.
  • TzHaar-Hur-Tel's Equipment Store buys some obsidian equipment.
• Winning the TzHaar Fight Pit. This requires at least one other player or a second account.
• The TzHaar Fight Cave and the Inferno both reward a variable TokKul prize depending the number of waves completed. The amount of TokKul received from both is doubled after completing the elite tasks in the Karamja Diary.
• TzHaar-Ket-Rak's Challenges award TokKul on successful completions. Challenges 1 and 2 require having beaten the Fight Cave and the rest require having beaten the Inferno.
• With 90 Thieving and a fire cape, players can pickpocket TzHaar-Hur. While it's not a requirement to be wearing ice gloves while pickpocketing, it is suggested for them to be equipped in order to reduce the damage taken from the TzHaar-Hur.
• With 80 Fishing and a fire cape, players can fish for infernal eels. When caught, they must be smashed open with a hammer in order to receive a small amount of TokKul, lava scale shards, or onyx bolt tips.
• TzHaar inhabitants can be killed around Mor Ul Rek for TokKul drops:
  • TzHaar-Ket
  • TzHaar-Xil
  • TzHaar-Mej
  • TzHaar-Hur

TokKul can be spent in the following shops:

• TzHaar-Hur-Lek's Ore and Gem Store
• TzHaar-Hur-Rin's Ore and Gem Store (Fire cape is required to enter the inner city)
• TzHaar-Hur-Tel's Equipment Store
• TzHaar-Hur-Zal's Equipment Store (Fire cape is required to enter the inner city)
• TzHaar-Mej-Roh's Rune Store

Wearing Karamja gloves 1 or higher will give a player a discount. For instance, uncut onyx will cost 260,000 TokKul instead of 300,000.

When selling chaos runes to the shop, each piece of TokKul costs 11.78 coins.

When buying uncut onyx (with the discount), each piece is worth 10.37 coins.
