Slayer reward points are rewarded after every completed Slayer task, from every Slayer Master except Turael and Spria. The higher level the Slayer Master, the more points are received. Additionally, bonus points are awarded after every 10th, 50th, 100th, 250th, and 1,000th completed task. For example, completing 20 tasks in a row awards bonus points on both the 10th and the 20th consecutive tasks. Slayer reward points can be traded in to any Slayer Master for various rewards.

Players can cancel or block tasks at the cost of slayer reward points.

A total of 11,580 points are required in order to obtain all the rewards and blocks at least once. Using a base of 15 points, approximately 461 sequential tasks are required. Excluding the slayer helmet recolours reduces this to 3,580 points, or around 250 tasks.

Obtaining points

With an exception of the one-time reward for completing the quest A Porcine of Interest, the only way to obtain Slayer points is through completing Slayer assignments. Slayer points are not awarded for the first four tasks a player completes but are rewarded for their fifth and further tasks.

Assignments

If attempting to gain points quickly, players are advised to use Turael or Spria for the first nine Slayer tasks and then any Slayer Master that gives decent tasks for the player's combat level. Notably, Konar quo Maten gives more slayer reward points than Duradel as her tasks are required to be completed in a specified location, with Krystilia's Wilderness-only tasks rewarding the most points (at the cost of having a separate task streak from normal Slayer masters).

If a player is unsure of their current streak progress, they may simply select the "Check" option on their enchanted gem or Slayer helmet. Alternatively, when asking Turael or Aya in Burthorpe for a new assignment, they will tell the player how far into their streak they are, but only if the current assignment is not one that they would ordinarily give. Do not confirm the dialogue, as this will give players a new task from them and reset your task streak.

Bonus points are gained at regular intervals, giving a certain number more than the Slayer Master's regular points. Players are recommended to use the Slayer Master having the highest requirements they meet once they approach the final task, due to the large increase in Slayer points given:

  • 5x points every 10th task
  • 15x points every 50th task
  • 25x points every 100th task
  • 35x points every 250th task
  • 50x points every 1,000th task

Taking these bonus points into account over the course of a 1000 task streak, the average point gain per task equals 1.775x the base points. For example, Krystilia gives 25 points per task. After completing 1000 of her tasks in a row, a total of 44,375 points are earned, or an average of 44.375 points per task. The fact that the first 5 completed tasks will not grant any slayer points is not taken into account here.

Slayer Master Points per task Points per 10th Points per 50th Points per 100th Points per 250th Points per 1,000th Notes
Turael / Aya / Spria 0 0 0 0 0 0 Turael and Spria have the same tasks list, apart from Spria assigning Sourhogs after completing A Porcine of Interest. Players can talk to Turael (but not Spria) to change a more difficult task to a new task assigned by Turael. This will reset the player's task streak to zero, and the player will have to complete four more tasks to begin earning points again. Tasks assigned by Turael/Spria give no points but do contribute to the four needed to start gaining points.

Requires combat level 75. Konar's tasks offer the most points outside of the Wilderness, but her tasks can only be completed by killing monsters in the location she specifies.
Krystilia 25 125 375 625 875 1,250 Krystilia's tasks can only be completed by killing monsters within the Wilderness. She has no combat level requirement, and may assign difficult monsters to all players regardless of their level. Assignments from her have a separate task completion counter from standard assignments, however players cannot receive a new task from Krystilia if they currently have an incomplete task from a standard Slayer Master.
Mortimer 0-40 0-40 0-40 0-40 0-40 0-40 Completion of a task assigned by Mortimer will not grant any Slayer points, unless a task with the slayer points modifier is chosen. Points granted by the modifier varies, being between 5 and 40 points, with higher level monsters offering more points. This amount is not increased by milestones, and tasks from him do not contribute towards the task completion counter at other Slayer Masters.

Point boosting

The fastest way to gain Slayer reward points is generally to use Masters who assign weaker enemies in smaller numbers. The process revolves around completing simple tasks as quickly as possible, only using higher tier Masters for "milestone tasks" (e.g., every 10th or 50th task). This allows the player to minimise the time taken between milestone tasks (which award disproportionately high reward point values as shown above). Turael and Mazchna are used for this purpose.

When boosting with Turael or Mazchna, the player should seek to block tasks that are slow or tedious. Expeditious bracelets should be equipped at all times. It is best to seek out the lowest level variant of your assigned monster, ideally in large and tightly packed numbers. A dwarf multicannon is strongly recommended; multi-combat zones generally offer the fastest completion rates but the cannon can still greatly speed up tasks in single-way combat areas. Players with 67 Magic should use the Lunar spellbook for Astral Contact to eliminate downtime between tasks.

As discussed above, due to the separate task completion counter for Wilderness Slayer, when boosting with this method, milestone tasks cannot be completed with Krystilia. Konar quo Maten is generally the best Slayer Master to use for milestone tasks if the player is eligible to receive tasks from her.

While these methods are capable of producing the fastest Slayer reward point rates, they are generally not recommended for players seeking the fastest Slayer Experience rates.

Turael boosting

Completing nine tasks with Turael followed by a tenth task with Konar quo Maten, or another master that gives a large number of reward points, is a popular strategy for fast points. For example, if you have a streak of 53, complete six additional tasks with Turael, then receive your 60th task from Konar.

Mazchna boosting

Mazchna is a viable alternative to Turael for quick tasks. While his task list and kill count ranges may lead to slightly longer task completion times, this may be offset due to Mazchna tasks rewarding six reward points. Players might consider incorporating Mazchna into every 10th task while Turael boosting, using Konar quo Maten only for every 50th task: This will yield 120 extra reward points every 50 tasks at the cost of four slightly longer tasks in every fifty. Alternatively, it may be worthwhile to avoid Turael entirely, instead completing 49 Mazchna tasks in a row followed by every 50th task with Konar. This will yield 660 total reward points from a 50 task streak, with Mazchna tasks generally being completable within a few minutes if playing efficiently.

Combining Turael boosting to skip at Krystilia

A task from Krystilia that is changed by Turael will only reset your Wilderness Slayer task streak. Combining this with Turael boosting can be efficient for Ironmen looking for Revenant tasks to receive a wilderness weapon or kill the wilderness bosses on-task who drop the Voidwaker pieces.

Rewards

Slayer reward points can be spent to extend or block tasks, to purchase items useful for Slayer tasks, and on several unlocks such as automatic finishing blows, crafting Slayer equipment, and unlocking new tasks.
