Birds can be assigned as a Slayer task from Turael or Spria. They have no requirements to be assigned and are generally meant as tasks for beginners. There are a wide variety of birds, but the most commonly killed are chickens, seagulls and ducks, which are low-level, rarely deal damage and easy to access. Chickens drop bones, raw chicken and feathers, but most other birds only drop bones or nothing at all, meaning there is little reason to slay higher-level birds.

Birds introduced with the Sailing skill do not reward Slayer experience and thus do not count towards task completion.

Chompy bird	6	10	Feldip Hills South of Castle Wars	Requires completion of Big Chompy Bird Hunting and can only be damaged by ogre bow or ogre comp bow with ogre arrows or brutal arrows. Doesn't spawn without being lured by bloated toads tied to rocks.
Terrorbird	28	34	Tree Gnome Stronghold terrorbird pen, south-western side. Gnome maze, south-west corner.
Vulture	31	10	South-eastern Kharidian Desert.	Cannot be harmed by melee while flying. Requires some protection from the desert heat.
Oomlie bird	46	40	Kharazi Jungle	Requires a certain amount of progress in Legends' Quest to access Kharazi Jungle to kill effectively.
