Port Piscarilius is one of the five cities in the Kingdom of Great Kourend. Led by Lady Shauna Piscarilius of the Piscarilius House, the city is a port primarily inhabited by fishermen who rely on the fishing industry for their source of income, in addition to overseas trade. All visitors from the mainland often come through here or Land's End.

The port is known for its high crime rate, with newcomers to the kingdom warning other new arrivals of the thieves that run rampant in Port Piscarilius. This is due to the political corruption within the Piscarilius authorities, allowing thieves and smugglers such as Captain Khaled to steal artefacts from houses in the residential district through bribery, and shipping the stolen goods overseas. It can be accessed by travelling by boat by talking to Veos in Port Sarim.

Transportation

There are several methods to quickly reach Port Piscarilius:

Veos or Cabin Boy Herbert - ship from Port Sarim or Land's End, then run west and north.
Kharedst's memoirs or Book of the dead - The Fisher's Flute teleport (requires completion of The Queen of Thieves).
Lovakengj Minecart Network - Travel to the Port Piscarilius station (20 coins per ride, or completion of The Forsaken Tower).
Kourend Castle Teleport or Xeric's talisman to Xeric's Heart - Run east past Kingstown, then north along the coast.
The fairy ring code AKR to Hosidius near the Tithe Farm minigame, then run north. A faster alternative is to run south instead and take the Lovakengj Minecart Network cart to Port Piscarillius for 20 coins, located just south of Tithe Farm.
Tithe Farm Minigame Teleport, then run north. Must have entered the minigame at least once before, which requires Lvl 34 Farming.

Stealing artefacts

At level 49 Thieving, Captain Khaled will assign players to steal artefacts from houses in the Piscarilius area.

Tynan's Fishing Supplies

Tynan sells basic fishing supplies, including sandworms, which are required for catching anglerfish. This is the only way to buy sandworms other than from the Grand Exchange or other players.

Leenz's General Supplies

Leenz's shop is a general store that sells the usual general store items, including bronze nails and iron nails.

Frankie's Fishing Emporium

Frankie's shop sells various types of raw fish.

Fishing Cranes

Broken fishing cranes can be repaired with planks to train Crafting and Construction.

Players can dock at Port Piscarilius with level 15 Sailing, provided they have visited Kourend at least once before docking. The furthest dock at the southern end of the town offers the following utilities for sailors:

Personalities

Charter ship

The charter ships also have a dock in the harbour in Port Piscarilius. It provides rides to several other locations. After completing Cabin Fever, the charter ship fare is reduced by 50%. Wearing the ring of charos(a) also reduces the fare by 50%. These two bonuses can be stacked to reduce the cost to 25%.

Favour (historical)

Prior to an update on 10 January 2024, favour was a core mechanic of each city on Kourend. Historical information about gaining favour and its benefits are documented here.

Trivia

Piscarilius is named after Pisces, the Latin plural for fish, and changing syllables from the name Piscatoris.
Upon release, speaking to various NPCs within Port Piscarilius will reveal that the Port Piscarilius is governed by a Lord Piscarilius. However, with the release of the Wintertodt, speaking to Ish the Navigator revealed that he was there on Lady Piscarilius' orders. When asked about this inconsistency, Mod Ash stated "Having two people share the governance seems like a good idea to me if they also need to make long trade voyages."^[1] With an update on 15 June 2017, all references to Lord Piscarilius were replaced with Lady Piscarilius.
