Musa Point is a small settlement on the north-eastern edge of Karamja. It features in several quests, and hosts a dungeon for members, as well as spots for free players to harpoon fish.

Transportation

Musa Point can only be entered one way by free players. To enter Musa Point in free-to-play, players need to go to Port Sarim and look for the three sailors, Seaman Lorris, Seaman Thresnor, and Captain Tobias. Sailing to and from Musa Point in this way costs 30 coins.

Members can enter via the gate to the east from Brimhaven. There are also several more transportation options available, listed here from shortest walk to longest:

History

The following lore is sourced from the Varrock Museum, dialogue with Kangai Mau, dialogue with Cap'n Izzy No-Beard, dialogue with Tiadeche, the guide book, and Herman's book.

Karamja was inhabited by different groups prior to the establishment of trade with the mainland. It is unknown if these groups lived in Musa Point specifically, but it was known that humans lived there during the years 500-900 of the Fourth Age. Early in the Fifth Age, human settlers established settlements on Karamja, likely including Musa Point.

Buildings

Building Description
Karamja General Store Located west of the boat. Players rarely sell anything to this store, due to its distance from a bank. However, fishers on the island will sometimes sell their fish here.
Karamja Wines, Spirits, and Beers A bar owned by Zembo, which sells beer, Karamjan rum and wine. There is also a well outside, and a poll booth on the western wall.
Luthas' home Home of Luthas, who owns the adjacent plantation.

Skill training spots

When the player lands on Musa Point, they can then get off the boat to walk on the dock and explore the island. There are monsters near the north-western part of the island around the volcano, so low level players are recommended that they stay away from that part of the island. It is a spot for level 14 scorpions, level 5 snakes, and level 3 monkeys. For lower/early-mid level players, it is a good training spot, as well as a Prayer spot, as monkey bones are dropped by the monkeys.

  • Fishing spot: one of the two places in the free-to-play world where players can fish for tuna and swordfish, as well as one of the three places for lobster, thus making it the most popular fishing spot for non-members. It is also a popular chatting place among fishing players. Players can also fish via small net and bait here.
  • On the rim of the volcano lie a multitude of dead trees. These trees can be cut for logs, which can subsequently be used to light fires; handy for high-level fishing and cooking at the docks.
  • Several bull sharks can be safespotted on the northern part of the peninsula.

Banana plantation

Luthas' Banana Plantation is found across from Zembo's bar. Here, players can collect bananas for Luthas and put them in the box outside his hut. When they've filled the box, Luthas will pay them 30 coins. Luthas is useful if a player forgot their money and cannot go back from the island. There are 33 banana trees in the plantation, each with 5 bananas on each tree.

Karamja Volcano

Nearby is the Karamja Volcano, found west of the area. The volcano contains a dungeon underneath, with lesser demons, bats, and a few mid-level skeletons. After completing Dragon Slayer I, players can go through a hidden wall that leads to the Crandor crash site.

Charter ship

The charter ships also have a dock in the harbour in Musa Point. It provides rides to several other locations. After completing Cabin Fever, the charter ship fare is reduced by 50%. Wearing the ring of charos(a) also reduces the fare by 50%. These two bonuses can be stacked to reduce the cost to 25%.
