Shanty Claws

Shanty Claws was a werewolf sailor located on the west dock of Musa Point during the 2013 Christmas event.

As the start point of the event, he tasked players with rescuing Jack, Jill, and Jeff from the gublinch. Once the event was completed, he would reward players with a reindeer hat and a wintumber tree for their player-owned house.

During the event, a jingle would play when Shanty Claws begins his shanty, skipping a shanty before playing again.

• The name Shanty Claws is a play on the name Santa Claus.
• When spoken to with a ring of charos equipped, he would say that he did not expect to see another werewolf there.
• His name may be a reference to the film The Nightmare Before Christmas, in which Jack Skellington mishears Santa's name as 'Sandy Claws'.
• Shanty Claws' ship is called the Seahound. It was not present in the 2013 Christmas event, and is only mentioned in the 17th Postbag from the Hedge
• Although Shanty Claws is a werewolf, he claims to not be from Morytania, and that he and his ancestors have been sailors since "the wars".^[1]
• Shanty Claws created the black partyhat and rainbow partyhat, which were both rewards from the 2013 Christmas event.
