Entrana is a large island south-west of Taverley, occupied by Saradominist monks. When entering Entrana, adventurers are prohibited from bringing most weapons or armour with them.
History
The following lore is sourced from the High Priest, the Varrock Museum, Desert Treasure II, and Devious Minds.
Entrana is said to be Saradomin's first arrival spot in Gielinor, and is therefore considered a holy site by his followers. It seems that there was always some presence on the island since that time, but there was no official organised township until the early Fifth Age, when humans established towns on Entrana and Karamja. When the art of Runecrafting was rediscovered by humans in the Fifth Age, barbarians invaded Entrana and destroyed the law altar, believing the crafting of runes to be in defiance of the gods.
Many powerful artefacts have been on the island. At one point in time, the Holy Grail passed through Entrana. Later, during the year 169, an assassin stole an ancient relic from the monks which supposedly had the power to allow the mahjarrat Azzanadra to contact Zaros. The staff of Armadyl was also almost brought to Entrana, but was stolen en-route.
Accessing the island
Transportation
Players have four methods for accessing the island: via a boat in Port Sarim by talking to the monks on the dock, through the Law Altar via the Abyss in the Wilderness, by using the balloon transport system, or by docking there via the Sailing skill (requires 36 Sailing). Before being able to sail or fly to Entrana, the monk or a balloon transport assistant will search the player to make sure that there are no prohibited items being brought to the island. At the law rift, the power of Saradomin is present and will prevent the player from bringing prohibited equipment.
If a player logs in on Entrana or exits the Law Altar with prohibited equipment, a monk will immediately appear next to the player on Entrana and knock them unconscious. The player will then reawaken in Port Sarim aboard the Entrana ferry, and exclaim .
Rules
Generally, players cannot take any armour with attack or defence bonuses to the island. Most non-equipable items that deal damage (such as runes and poison dynamite) are allowed. Some items which violate these rules can still be brought to the island, listed below.
Trying to Telekinetic Grab dropped items on the coast of Falador will result in a chat message saying . Additionally, players cannot smuggle weapons or armour to Entrana by opening Treasure Trails caskets there, as they cannot be received on the island; an alternate version of the droptable without prohibited items is rolled instead[1]. This makes it useful for players seeking specific rewards such as god pages to open caskets on the island. However, beginner and master caskets may not be opened on the island; if attempted, a message states that the monks are watching closely. Although monk's robes are allowed on the island, you are not able to receive the monk's robe top (g) or the monk's robe (g) from easy caskets here as they are considered a tier-specific clue unique on the easy clue loot table.
Exceptions
Some items with bonuses can still be brought to Entrana:
Some items without bonuses or which can't be equipped are still not allowed:
Crafting items
Players can create a number of otherwise-prohibited items by bringing their base materials to the island, as long as the player has the levels required to craft or fletch them:
| Item | Required materials |
|---|---|
| Wooden blowpipes | Corresponding log, |
| Xerician armour | |
| Splitbark armour | |
| Bows or crossbows | Unstrung bows/crossbows, |

Smuggling items
Some items store or reward prohibited equipment, thus allowing players to open them on the island and smuggle in forbidden items:

The ghostly robe bottom can also be obtained on Entrana from Lennissa during sequence one of the Curse of the Empty Lord miniquest.
Locations
Buildings
| Building | Description |
|---|---|
| Entrana church | The main building of Entrana, ran by the High Priest, the Entrana church is the most important building of all Entrana. Players can talk to the level 5 monks to be healed. There is also a candle stand, from which players can steal candles for 20 Thieving experience each. |
| Entrana homestead | A tiny homestead with chickens and eggs, as well as some nearby unicorns. |
| Entrana kitchen | A building near the docks featuring a range. |
| Entrana workshop | Referred to as simply "the Furnace" by Fritz. Players can blow glass here, and sell to Fritz for 20 coins each. All ingredients for glassblowing (sand, soda ash, and a furnace) are found on the island, alongside the glassblowing pipe. |
| Frincos' Fabulous Herb Store | A store selling various Herblore supplies. |
| Fritz' house | A nice, two-story house. |
Skill training spots
There are four fishing spots on the docks, requiring either bait and a rod, or a small fishing net. There is also a fly-fishing location located on the river. A fishing rod spawns in the house right before the dock, and there is a chicken farm for feathers north of the dock. There is also a range nearby for Cooking. Players can bank their fish at the bank deposit box on the Port Sarim dock. Players can also find the following on the island:
- Willow, oak, and regular trees — choppable if players can obtain an axe.
- Hops patch — a patch for hops, which can be protected by Francis.
- Law altar — an altar for crafting law runes, requiring a law talisman to enter.
Other
Entrana has a large set of docks with a port, allowing players to travel to Port Sarim and manage Sailing activites. There is also a sand pit for collecting buckets of sand, and the fearsome Entrana dungeon. Finally, players can access the hot air balloon, a unique but somewhat convoluted method of traveling.

Trivia
- Before the removal of the axe head random event, players commonly used it to smuggle axes onto Entrana by bringing their separate pieces.
- In the Trailblazer League game mode, players could smuggle black and blessed bracers, chaps, and body armour to Entrana without objection from a passing monk by exiting the Law Altar with the crystal of memories. It is unclear whether this works in Deadman Mode with sigil of last recall. Similarly, implings caught in jars could be smuggled via the Law Altar with a crystal of memories to Entrana, but jars with prohibited equipment still couldn't be opened on the main island. Attempting to do so yielded the message: You can't loot impling jars here. However, they could be looted inside the Law Altar itself. It is unkown whether impling jars could be smuggled with a sigil of last recall.
- In the Trailblazer Reloaded League, players with the banker's note could use it to un-note noted armour and weapons on the island. This was useful for completing clue steps that would otherwise have required players to craft the required items on Entrana.
