Zealot's robes

Zealot's robes are an untradeable set of robes obtained from looting gold chests within the Shade Catacombs, which require gold shade keys to open. The robes provide a 1.25% chance per piece to prevent various remains from being consumed whilst training Prayer – totalling 5% with the full set equipped, meaning each remains can be sacrificed on average 1.053 times. This bonus stacks multiplicatively with the bone-saving effect of the Chaos Temple altar[1], yielding a 52.5% chance to not consume a bone at that altar, meaning each bone can effectively be sacrificed on average 2.105 times.

Aside from affecting bones offered on an altar, they also affect burying bones, offering ensouled heads, offering bonemeal at the Ectofuntus. They may also be used when sacrificing blessed bone shards at the Libation bowl; this affects individual shards, rather than the set of 100 shards. The set does not save resources when casting Demonic Offering, Sinister Offering, or offering bones at the Sacred Bone Burner.

Because a single remains can be saved multiple times by this set (similar to the Chaos Temple altar), the set provides a 5.26% increase[2] in the average Prayer experience a player can expect, equivalent to a 5.00% decreased materials cost to reach an experience goal.

Zealot's robes do not count as Saradomin items in the God Wars Dungeon, even though the top and bottom have a similar appearance to monk's robes.

The entire set can be stored in a magic wardrobe in a player-owned house costume room.

As the set is untradeable, it goes to the gravestone if not protected on death when killed by another player in the Wilderness, meaning it can be safely used at the Wilderness chaos altar.

Components

Pieces of the zealot's robes are obtained from looting gold chests within the Shade Catacombs, which require gold shade keys to open. Each gold chest has a 1/128 chance of giving a piece of the outfit, and players cannot receive a piece which they already own. The player will obtain pieces in the following order: boots, helm, robe bottom, and robe top.

Gold keys can only be obtained by cremating urium remains using redwood pyre logs, or fiyr remains using magic pyre logs or higher. This means a Firemaking level of at least 80 is required to obtain the set. On average, 512 gold keys are needed to obtain the full set, which calls for burning approximately 648 urium remains or 3,273 fiyr remains.

Burning 648 urium remains would cost 9,070,704 coins upfront and take approximately 2 hours. The rewards from burning the remains typically make this a profitable activity in addition to earning the full set of zealot's robes.
