Expert mining gloves are a pair of gloves that can be obtained by asking Belona in the Mining Guild to combine a pair of mining gloves with a pair of superior mining gloves, for a fee of 40 unidentified minerals. They require 70 Mining to wear. Unlike the other pairs of mining gloves, these gloves cannot be sold back to Belona.

Gathering the 180 total required unidentified minerals will take players approximately 10 to 12 hours of power-mining iron, which is the fastest method for acquiring unidentified minerals. To minimise the amount of clicks required to obtain expert mining gloves while power-mining iron, players should purchase the basic mining gloves as soon as they have 40 minerals.

This item can be stored in the armour case of a costume room.

Effects

When mining certain rocks with the gloves equipped, the rock will not be depleted from one to three times depending on the rock, and the player will continue mining the rock until it depletes. This effect stacks with other mining enhancers.

The gloves have no effect when mining Runite Golems in the Wilderness Resource Area despite being a source of runite ore.

8 May 2024 (Update)	The price to combine mining gloves and superior mining gloves was reduced from 60 unidentified minerals to 40. Expert mining gloves now provide a flat 1 rock save on amethyst and runite rocks, instead of a certain percentage. Adamant, mithril, sandstone, and granite rocks have a flat 2 rock saves when worn. Iron, coal, silver, and gold rocks have a flat 3 rock saves when worn. The examine text was updated. Previously, it was "These will help me mine Silver, Coal, Gold, Mithril, Adamantite, Runite and Amethyst."
16 November 2022 (Update \| poll)	All variants of mining gloves can now be stored in the armour case of a player's costume room.
2 July 2020 (Update)	Expert mining gloves can now be used to harvest cave nightshade.
28 February 2019 (Update \| poll)	The gloves now have its effect applied to amethyst crystals. The examine text was also changed to reflect this; previously, it was "These will help me mine Silver, Coal, Gold, Mithril, Adamantite and Runite."

Trivia

Although they match the appearance of the prospector kit, they are not part of the set and do not count towards the set bonus.
