Rubium deposits are rocks found in the Charred Dungeon that can be mined at level 68 Mining to obtain rubium geodes and between 10-100 Mining XP. The geodes can be broken open with a hammer and a chisel to obtain rubium splinters, the quantity of which scales with Mining level. The geodes are not stackable, but the splinters are, so by breaking the geodes players can remain in the mine indefinitely without banking.

Only one of the two deposits is active at a time; the moment one depletes, the other replenishes. Once a player starts mining a rock, it lasts between 4 and 5 minutes, after which the next geode gathered will cause it to deplete.

The resource-duplicating effects of Varrock armour 3, Mining cape, and celestial rings/signets can all trigger when mining a deposit.

To access the deposits, players must moor at Charred Island, requiring level 60 Sailing, and permanently attach a rope to the dungeon's entrance. A rope spawns on a crate just south of the dungeon entrance. The route through the dungeon passes through a multicombat area with aggressive red and black dragons to reach the mine with rubium rocks and deposits.

Pre-roll

The mining gem drop table has a 1/256 chance to roll on every mining attempt;[1] if the player is wearing a charged amulet of glory, amulet of glory (t), or amulet of eternal glory, the probability increases to 1/64.2.[2][3] If the table successfully rolls, the player may receive an uncut gem or nothing, and in either case can not receive an ore.[4] This neither depletes the rock nor grants Mining experience. The rates shown are for every mining attempt.
