Urt salt is a type of salt that can be mined from urt salt rocks in the Salt Mine beneath Weiss after the completion of Making Friends with My Arm. Along with Te salt and Efh salt, it can be used to light fire pits that provide benefits (such as a permanent light source), and it is also used to create stony basalts. Mining Urt salt requires 72 Mining and is mined in chunks of 2-7 scaling with the player's level, granting the player 5 experience per salt mined. Mining enhancers do not work here.

700 Urt salt is required to construct all the available permanent fires (1 dehumidification, 3 eternal light, 1 nourishment, 1 unseasonal warmth). 250 Urt salt is required to construct an Eternal brazier on a boat. 300 Urt salt is required to attune a portal to Troll Stronghold in a Portal Chamber in a Player Owned House, and 3000 Urt salt is required to attune a Portal Nexus.

Trivia

The three salts, Te, Efh, and Urt, spell out "Teef hurt", suggesting the Weiss trolls attempted to eat them before discovering their use in Firemaking.
