An eternal brazier is a core boat part which enables the player to safely traverse the icy seas in the Northern Ocean. It is built via the boat schematics board at the Shipyard after reading the eternal brazier schematic, requiring level 78 Sailing and 72 Construction, granting 1,373 Construction experience.

While temporary boosts can be used to build the brazier (crystal saws will work), the schematic is located within a lockbox on Buccaneers' Haven, which requires a base Sailing level of 76 in order to dock on.

Despite the required materials, completion of Making Friends with My Arm is not necessary to build the eternal brazier. However, Ironmen cannot obtain the necessary salts without completing the quest and mining them (see below).

There are significant considerations to be made for Ironmen planning to make the eternal brazier to explore the Northern Ocean. These include:

• the requirements for Making Friends with My Arm and all of its prerequisite quests to obtain the salts
• a way to obtain rune nails and runite bars
• the smelting of cupronickel bars

• While the eternal brazier is listed as a boat facility, players must build it via the boat schematics board alongside core boat parts.
