Angler's paint is a type of boat paint used to recolour the trim of a player's skiff or sloop via the boat schematics board at the Shipyard. Trimming a boat requires level 25 Sailing and 20 Construction, granting 10 Construction experience. One paint is required for trimming skiffs, while sloops require two.
Angler's paint is received at a rate of 1/18,000 from deep sea trawling, or 1/16,200 from trawling mixed shoals upon a successful roll for a catch. Rod fishing at a shoal and crewmates will not roll for the paint. When receiving the paint, players will receive the message You've received some paint!.
Angler's paint, along with shark, inky, salvor's, and Barracuda paint, can be given to Trader Stan in exchange for merchant's paint.
