A keg is a boat facility that can be filled with certain ales rewarded from sea charting. It can be built at specific facility hotspots on the boat, requiring level 33 Sailing and 25 Construction, granting 313 Construction experience. As the keg requires a barrel stand to build, players must also have cleared the Shark rank of the Tempor Tantrum Barracuda Trial.

Filling a keg requires 25 of a specific ale, which can either be noted or unnoted, but not a mixture of both. Once filled, players will receive certain benefits to activities at sea depending on the ale used. Multiple kegs can be built on a boat to fill them with different ales in order to receive multiple benefits, but filling them with the same ale will not cause their effects to stack.

Players can also freely obtain an infinite amount of the filled ale by using a beer glass on it. However, if emptied via the "Empty" option, the ales are not returned.

A keg moved with a Facility bottle will lose all of its contents and will need to be refilled with ale.

The barrel stand is not consumed when building this facility.
