Guthixian paint is a type of boat paint used to recolour the trim of a player's skiff or sloop via the boat schematics board at the Shipyard. Trimming a boat requires level 25 Sailing and 20 Construction, granting 10 Construction experience. One paint is required for trimming skiffs, while sloops require two.

Guthixian paint can be obtained in unlimited amounts from the Elite Void Knight after having given her the void orb, which is obtained by bringing the captain's log to Gerardus once the Shrouded Ocean is fully charted. As such, the paint requires a Sailing level of at least 72 to obtain.

• Due to a bug, the paint was obtainable before the launch of Sailing for players who had completed the hard tier of the Western Provinces achievement diary. Players could speak to the Elite Void Knight at the Void Knights' Outpost to obtain the paint. The paint could not be picked up when dropped, but an infinite number could be re-obtained by speaking to the Elite Void Knight again. This was hotfixed on 13 November 2025.^[1]
  • With the Sailing release on 19 November 2025, trying to pick up paint obtained without the requirements would delete the item, giving the message You go to pick up the paint but accidentally spill it, rendering it unusable.
