Rune salvaging hooks are a type of salvaging hook that can be built on a boat to salvage shipwrecks. It can be built at specific facility hotspots on the boat, requiring level 74 Sailing^[boostable] and 66 Construction to build, granting 1,233 Construction experience. You won't be able to operate the hook if you've boosted to acquire it.

Crewmates with at least level 3 Deckhandiness can be assigned to operate the salvaging hook, as long as the player has the required Sailing level. As such, players who used temporary boosts to build it must maintain the Sailing boost when a crewmate or themselves are using it.

Only one salvaging hook can be built on a raft and skiff, while a sloop allows two.
