Lost schematics

Lost schematics are unique items that unlock recipes for high-level shipbuilding parts, for use in the Sailing skill. There are a total of 12 schematics, 10 of which have lockboxes that contain them, and 10 corresponding small keys that unlock them. The other two are the ballistic attractor schematic (given by Ava after the completion of Animal Magnetism and Pandemonium quests) and the bosun's workbench schematic (given upon completion of The Red Reef quest).

Each lockbox gives a lockbox direction which gives a clue to the whereabouts of its key. Keys can be obtained by digging with a spade at the correct location to obtain them. You cannot boost your Sailing level to moor on islands you would not normally have the level for.
