The Shrouded Ocean is one of Gielinor's nine oceans. It is bounded by the Sunset Ocean to the west, Varlamore to the north-west, the Western Ocean to the north, Tirannwn and Feldip Hills to the north-east, and the Ardent and Unquiet Oceans to the east.

The Shrouded Ocean is divided into fifteen seas. Some of these seas are hazardous. The Backwater is hazardous with strong rapids and fetid waters that damage boats without a mithril helm and an inoculation station, respectively. The Southern Expanse is hazardous with tangled kelp that damage boats without an adamant helm.

Geography

Islands include Anglers' Retreat, The Crown Jewel, Deepfin Point, Isle of Bones, Isle of Serpents, Isle of Souls, Minotaurs' Rest, Rainbow's End, the Shipyard, Sunbleak Island, Tear of the Soul, Vatrachos Island, and Wintumber Island.

The River Dougne flows into the Shrouded Ocean.

Unlockable islands

There are ten new islands in the Shrouded Ocean unlockable through Sailing. After docking at an island for the first time, some islands have alternative transportation options available such as spirit trees and fairy rings.
