Idestia Strait

Idestia Strait is a strait between Etceteria and the Rellekka Hunter area. It is part of the Northern Ocean, and connects Weissmere to the north and Fremensund to the south.

Charting activates reward various amounts of Sailing experience, with significant bonus experience for completing every charting task in any given sea or ocean.

• 20 March 2025 - 26 March 2025 (Idestia Sea in the March 2025 Sailing Alpha)

• The name may be a play on the Latin phrase id est, meaning "that is"; this is often abbreviated as i.e. in daily usage. The nearby kingdoms of Miscellania and Etceteria follow a similar naming convention.
• In the March 2025 Sailing Alpha, the area of ocean just south of Miscellania and Etceteria was named "Idestia Sea". In the June 2025 Sailing Beta, this label was removed and the "Idestia Strait" label was added in its current location.
