Sunset Bay is the body of water along the Sunset Coast, near the east coast of Aldarin. To the south, it opens into Wyrm's Waters (to the south-east) and the Misty Sea (to the south-west). Shimmering Atoll lies almost directly south.

A mooring point can be found at Sunset Coast. A giant krill shoal is located here, near the coast of Aldarin, and several fishing spots accessible from land near Sunset Coast.

Charting activates reward various amounts of Sailing experience, with significant bonus experience for completing every charting task in any given sea or ocean.

• In the March 2025 Sailing Alpha, the area just north of Sunset Bay--between the Aldarin and Sunset Coast docks--was named "Os Varlae", which translates roughly in Latin to "Varla Mouth", as indeed this area was located near the mouth of the River Varla. This label was removed in the June 2025 Sailing Beta.
