The Weiss Melt is the easternmost part of the Northern Ocean, north of Weiss and the Frozen Plateau and west of The Searing Sea. The island of Grimstone can be found here with a mooring point.

It is the only body of water outside of the Untamed Ocean that borders the Wilderness.

Charting activates reward various amounts of Sailing experience, with significant bonus experience for completing every charting task in any given sea or ocean.

• In the March 2025 Sailing Alpha, June 2025 Sailing Beta, and August 2025 Sailing Stress Test, "Weiss Melt" was named "Wiess Melt". This was not corrected until the map was fully released on 5 November 2025.
