A spyglass is a tool used in sea charting. It is used when the player or their boat is on a glowing spot, after which a short cutscene is initiated in which the player views the nearby area through the spyglass. Note that NPCs can still attack during these cutscenes. You obtain one by talking to Chartin' Charles McAtless.

If lost, another can be obtained from the cargo hold of a boat.
