Trawler's trust is a type of ale that temporarily boosts Sailing and Fishing by 2, while draining Attack by 2. Drinking a trawler's trust results in successive game messages stating You drink the refreshing beer. It tastes foamy and salty. You feel at one with the sea!

The ability to purchase trawler's trust is unlocked after completely charting 50 seas across all oceans, then showing Chartin' Charles McAtless the captain's log.

Once unlocked, players can speak to Charles again and select the chat option "What do I get from charting the sea?", then "Can you tell me about these drinks?". Players can buy one ale at a time for 300 coins, or 25 noted ales at once for 7,500 coins.

A keg of trawler's trust can be created by using 25 trawler's trust (either noted or unnoted, but not a mixture of both) on a keg built in a player's boat.

Having this keg onboard grants a 5% chance for players to catch an extra fish while deep sea trawling; this includes trophy fish such as the purplefin, though the extra fish will not be counted in the collection log. If this bonus successfully leads to an extra fish, the player will receive the message Trawler's trust: You catch an additional fish.

Players can also freely obtain an infinite amount of trawler's trust by using a beer glass on it.
