A bottle of captain cat's black rum is an alcoholic drink acquired by prying open a sealed crate in the western end of Dusk's Maw, just south of the merchant shipwrecks. Doing so requires a crowbar in the inventory, which in turn requires completion of Prying Times to obtain.

Drinking the bottle grants 75 Sailing experience, and will summon the sailing cat onto the player's boat. The cat will remain on the boat until either it is sunk, teleported, or the player logs out.

It is one of few sailing drinks that can be sampled more than once, though subsequent drinks do not yield Sailing experience. Players who wish to obtain many bottles for later use can bank them with an imp-in-a-box.
