The rocks is a drink troll. Upon drinking the bottle of fishier bladderier stout, the player will be taken to an instance of the troll arena and have to fight him alongside Daddy's special water and Chuck up. Unlike the other drink trolls in the arena who each attack with a single combat style, The rocks uses both melee and magic. He is capable of freezing players and reacting to protection prayers, making him stronger than his combat level may suggest.

When attacking with magic, The rocks will briefly freeze the player and interrupt attacks. He will also attempt to use melee if the player has Protect from Magic activated, or randomly if adjacent to the player. If attacked from a distance, there is a chance he will teleport next to the player. This does not seem to occur if The rocks is diagonally adjacent to the player.

He drops the melted rocks, which grant a small amount of Sailing experience when drunk.

• The rocks' name was likely derived from the term "On the Rocks" which involves serving drinks with ice cubes.
• As most trolls were named after the first thing they have eaten, the first thing The rocks presumably ate were either ice cubes or actual rocks.
