Ice troll females are most commonly found near the smaller ice troll runts. They use powerful Ranged attacks that hit hard and fast. The damage dealt by these females can be reduced to 2 by equipping a Neitiznot shield made during The Fremennik Isles. However, the shield doesn't affect the accuracy of the attacks. Their accuracy seem to neglect all defence bonuses from stats and equipment; hence, they almost always are able to deal some damage. Despite possessing melee stats, ice troll females do not make use of it.

The ice troll female drop table is somewhat unusual in that it varies depending on the exact version of monster being killed, while having identical appearances in-game. There are two different drop tables, with the drop table used determined by the troll's spawn point. Variant 1 is a table unique to ice trolls, and variant 2 is a table that will drop nothing but bones. This variant is also only 50% weak to fire. There is only one variant 2 in existence, who spawns just south of the East Fremennik Isles mine. A third variant, the frenzied ice troll female, do not drop any loot and should not be killed as well.
