Lalli is a troll cook that guards the Golden Apple Tree. Players must speak with him during The Fremennik Trials to get the golden wool required to make the lyre, and then give him the recipe for stone soup using a pet rock. During his interactions with the player, he will be paranoid that the player wants to steal his golden apples.

He can be reached quickly by using the fairy ring AJR to get to the Rellekka Slayer Caves. Slower methods include using the enchanted lyre to teleport to the Rellekka area or by teleporting to a player-owned house (if set to Rellekka or with a Rellekka teleport).

After the quest, the golden fleece can be bought for 1000 coins each from him.

• Most trolls are named after the first thing they eat; if the first thing eaten is unknown, they're named after the sound the thing they ate was, which was revealed in a Postbag from the Hedge from November 2007, The trouble with trolls.
  • It is unknown if Lalli was named due to eating something called that (possibly a Lolly, a type of treat), or if "lalli" was the sound the thing they ate made.
  • In the Polari slang language, the term lallie is used to refer to a leg (often used in the plural form 'lallies').^[1] As such, it is possible Lalli first ate one of his parents' legs.
• In the original version of The Fremennik Trials featured in the RuneScape 2 beta, he appeared as the character Lalli.
