The vase is a quest item used in The Fremennik Trials quest. It is found during Peer the Seer's part of the quest while searching upstairs in his house. The vase contains a key, but in order to retrieve it from the vase the player must first fill the vase with water and add a vase lid. The sealed vase can then be frozen, at which point it smashes and a frozen key drops out.
