Thorvald the Warrior is a fremennik council member featured in the quest The Fremennik Trials. During the quest, he tasks the player with finding and defeating the fierce warrior Koschei the Deathless without any weapons or armour. Players can go to Peer the Seer and choose the option, "Ask about depositing your equipment", not the Deposit-items option. Players can win Thorvald's vote by defeating Koschei at least three times, even if they die to his last form. It is recommended that players bring lots of food for the fight, in addition to rings of recoil.

• In the original version of The Fremennik Trials featured in the RuneScape 2 beta, he appeared as the character Thorvald.
• Thorvald's name may come from the Norse explorer Thorvald.
• Thorvald is also a possible Fremennik name for a player.
