The Ungael laboratory is an abandoned underground research facility on the northern side of Ungael previously used by the Dragonkin. During the Dragon Slayer II quest, players must defeat Vorkath and enter the cave behind the arena to enter the dungeon. A lever must be pulled in the south-west corner to open a locked room to the east where stone chests must be searched to obtain the Ungael dragon key piece and ancient key.
There are six old notes in the dungeon found by searching various ancient machinery and equipment. Once all six are obtained, they can be used each other will make the Ungael lab notes. There are also spiders inside that will attack the player and can inflict venom.
This laboratory was previously used after the experiments of the Dragonkin on green dragons failed to produce one powerful enough. Due to its colder temperature, stored samples of fungi would last longer, except that they are harder to obtain and transport. It was abandoned in favour of a larger facility, constructed on Lithkren.
