King Thoros Ardignas[1] is the new king of Ardougne after King Lathas is executed during the Song of the Elves quest.

During Song of the Elves, NPCs in the quest only refer to him as "the new king of Ardougne." He decided not to send troops to assist the rebel elves/dwarves during the siege of the Temple of Light towards the end of the quest.

If the player attempts to talk to him post-quest, he will thank them for their assistance in overthrowing Lathas but declines to speak further, as he says his predecessor has left him with a lot of work.

He appears in place of King Lathas during quests if the player has completed Song of the Elves, such as in Dragon Slayer II and A Kingdom Divided. He is also mentioned in Secrets of the North as being keen to distance himself from General Khazard, unlike his predecessor.

Trivia

  • In RuneScape 3, King Thoros is the cousin of King Lathas. However, in Old School RuneScape this has not been confirmed, as Thoros simply refers to Lathas as his predecessor.
