Wizard Cromperty, located in north-east Ardougne, can teleport you to the Rune essence mine. This is a requirement for the easy Ardougne Diary. He is also involved with the Tribal Totem, One Small Favour and King's Ransom quests. He has a slight problem with the Postal service.

Players can claim 100 pure essence from Wizard Cromperty for free once a day after completing the medium Ardougne Diary, increasing to 150 and 250 after the hard and elite tiers.

Treasure Trails

  • Wizard Cromperty is the solution to the master cryptic clue: A chisel and hammer reside in his home, strange for one of magic. Impress him with your magical equipment. Wear equipment adding up to at least 100 magic attack bonus when talking to him. The passive magic attack multiplication effect of Tumeken's shadow does not count towards the +100 requirement, but its base magic attack bonus of +35 will.
