Imafore Tullus was an Emperor of Varlamore roughly 100 years ago.[1] Not much is known about his early life, except that he had an abusive father and were prone to fits of rage, which once culminated in a young Imafore breaking the arm of his cousin Mezpah Arkan.[2]
When Imafore took the throne, he was responsible for transforming the region into the Varlamorian Empire. Although his rule was initally peaceful,[3] he is most remembered for causing the War of Betrayal by killing the Kourend royal family.[4] As the war with Kourend progressed, Imafore lost popularity within Varlamore thanks to his cruel and extreme conduct, such as his plan to burn the entirety of Auburn Valley to stop the progress of Kourend's troops[5] and his subsequent execution of General Nemus for refusing to carry out said plan.[6]
Imafore suffered from paranoia towards the end of his life and killed many of his own family members[7] before he was eventually defeated and executed at the Battle of the Proudspire.[8]
At some point during his rule, prior to the war, he ordered the construction of the Twilight Temple; however, this was seen as blasphemous by both the Church of Ralos and Sect of Ranul, and the temple was consequently abandoned after Imafore's death.[9]
His successor, King Mezpah Arkan, decreed that all statues of Imafore must be beheaded, but not removed, to remain as symbols of his betrayal.[10]
Imafore was part of the Tullus Dynasty. His descendants include Ennius and Furia Tullus.
