Scape Main is the music that plays on the login screen of RuneScape 2 and Old School RuneScape. During holiday events, it is replaced by similar variations of the track, such as Scape Santa or Scape Scared. The track is unlocked automatically upon the first login. The track is also played during the naval assault in Dragon Slayer II. If unlocked, it can be heard in the Nightmare Zone as one of the possible tracks that play when facing the Corsair Traitor, Witch's experiment, Tanglefoot, Trapped Soul, or Chronozon.

Analysis

The track is a modification of Scape Original. The original theme was written at 135 BPM, in 12/8 time, and undergoes several modulations between the keys of G minor and C major, oftentimes implementing the C major chord briefly, sounding in the Dorian mode. The intro makes use of string and choir patches playing G in multiple octaves. Flute plays a sixteenth-note ostinato on D, F, and G. The first statement of the main theme is then played by the trombone. Harp enters, playing descending sixteenth-note runs, arpeggiating first inversion G minor, E minor, B minor, and A minor chords. A timpani roll transitions to the full midi orchestra featuring rhythmic low-brass accompaniment, string stabs, toms, timpani, cymbals, and a harp ostinato before the trumpet plays the main theme overtop. The theme repeats on the French horn, this time in C major. A secondary legato theme featuring tubular bells contrasts the primary theme, followed by a "bridge" consisting of minor triads descending by half-step. A third repetition of the main theme is followed by a harp solo outro arpeggiating a G minor chord.
