V's shield is a shield created during The Fremennik Exiles quest. It is a recreation of the shield owned by the legendary warrior V. It requires 40 Defence and 60 Slayer to wield.

It acts as a mirror shield when fighting basilisks, basilisk knights, and cockatrice. It has stronger defensive stats than the mirror shield, on par with an Adamant kiteshield but positive magic defence and without negative stats.

If lost, it can be reobtained from Brundt the Chieftain in Rellekka's longhall for 50,000. Multiple shields can be obtained via the drop trick.

During the quest, the shield is made from four items with a glassblowing pipe in the inventory:

• V sigil (e), made by smithing 3 lunar bars into a V sigil and enchanting it with Fossegrimmen
• A fremennik shield, which can be obtained by killing dagannoth on Waterbirth Island or citizens of Rellekka, or by paying Bardur 150,000 (free if the Ring of charos(a) is worn)
• Lunar glass, made by bringing molten glass to Baba Yaga on Lunar Isle, and using the resultant molten glass (i) on the Astral Altar along with 100 astral runes
• A polishing rock, made by dropping a pet rock into the large geyser north-west of the Mountain Camp, then fishing it out with a fishing rod while equipping ice gloves

• The colour of the shield's backside changes according to the colour of the player's default boots, and thus can be changed by visiting a makeover service. The variants are shown below:
