Basilisks are encountered during the The Fremennik Exiles during the siege on the Rellekka marketplace. During the quest, the player must fight basilisks and monstrous basilisks to protect the town. Defeating a basilisk adds 3.33% towards the completion of defending the region. Like other basilisks, they have a gaze ability that drains all combat stats, so defeating them requires a mirror shield or V's shield, which is collected shortly before the invasion.
