Ice gloves are a piece of armour dropped by the Ice Queen under White Wolf Mountain. The gloves are required for multiple quests, as well as several skilling activities. They can be combined with Smiths gloves to combine the effects of both in Smiths gloves (i). This process is reversible.

Although the Ice Queen is a high level, she is very easy to kill, especially when using Protect from Melee. You do not need to start Heroes' Quest to obtain the ice gloves, and the gloves can be obtained as many times as desired. The gloves are obtainable at level 3; however, a boostable level of 50 Mining is required to mine an obstacle on the path to her lair.

The gloves are required for the following quest steps:

• Picking up fire feathers during Heroes' Quest
• Wielding weapons against Fareed during Desert Treasure I (note that this is only needed if going within melee range)
• Wielding weapons against Flambeed during Recipe for Disaster
  • Optionally, cooling the dwarven rock cake, and avoiding damage when cooking the brulee supreme
• Putting the pet rock into the geyser and retrieving it during The Fremennik Exiles

The gloves allow players to save an inventory slot by replacing a bucket of water when performing the following actions:

• Picking up a black cog during the Clock Tower quest
• Collecting hot bars at the Blast Furnace
• Picking up a preform in the Giants' Foundry

The gloves are also required for:

• Catching infernal eels
• Avoiding damage when sucessfully pickpocketing a TzHaar-Hur
• Avoiding damage when charging bottled dragonbreath
