The law rune is a rune used in all teleportation and telekinesis spells, as well as in many of the supportive and utility spells on the Lunar Spellbook. For non-members, the main source of law runes is from monster drops, as most monsters that drop runes may occasionally drop law runes. For members, they may be purchased in the Mage Arena Rune Shop or in the Wizards' Guild, requiring 66 Magic and completion of The Hand in the Sand. They can also be purchased from Ali Morrisane after partial completion of the Rogue Trader miniquest (after completing The Feud quest), from the magic store on Ape Atoll after obtaining the greegree as part of the Monkey Madness I quest, or from the magic store in Prifddinas after completing Song of the Elves. Guardians of the Rift offers an efficient and affordable way of acquiring law runes.

Law runes may be crafted at the Law Altar by members with at least 
The Law Altar is located on Entrana, in the north-eastern part of the island. Alternatively, the Abyss can be used to get to the Law Altar.

Balloon transport system
The most common method to craft law runes is via the balloon transport system:
Items required
- Pure essence
- A law or catalytic tiara
- Rings of dueling
- Normal logs
- Essence pouches
- Super energy or Stamina potions
- Raiments of the Eye or Weight-reducing clothing
Preparation
Log storage units can be found at every balloon station, and the contents are shared amongst all units. Up to 100 of each log used as payment can be stored, and can be added in noted form.
To avoid needing to carry logs in the inventory on each trip, the log storage units should be filled with as many normal logs as trips will be taken.
The route
- Add 1 super energy or stamina potion to your inventory. Fill up your essence pouches and the rest of your inventory with essence.
- Run from the Castle Wars bank to the hot air balloon just north-east. Pay the monk to have him take you to Entrana.
- Run to the Law Altar and craft your essence into law runes.
- Teleport via the ring of dueling back to Castle Wars and repeat.
