The guardian drake is a superior variant of the drake. It has a chance of spawning after purchasing the unlock Bigger and Badder for 50 Slayer reward points from any Slayer master.

Guardian drakes have two special attacks. They share the same special attack as regular drakes, launching volcanic breath at the player that hits four times in quick succession for up to 8 damage each. Players can dodge this attack by moving one tile away before the volcanic breath lands.

Guardian drakes may also attack with a special melee attack which stuns the player and is capable of hitting over 30 damage. This attack hits through prayer but can be avoided if the player steps out of melee range quickly enough; it can be predicted by the yellow gaps on the back lighting up. This special attack is only used when the player is in melee distance. Unlike regular drakes, the volcanic breath special is only used when the player is not in melee distance.

Drops

In addition to 100% drops and tertiary drops, superior slayer monsters will always roll 3 additional items, of which only 1 roll may be from the superior unique table. The other rolls are performed on the regular counterpart's table; their displayed drop chances represent a single roll.

27 August 2025 (Update)	Guardian Drakes now drop herbs unnoted instead of noted.
25 June 2025 (Update)	Guardian drake's heavy Ranged defence has been decreased from 150 to 0. Guardian drake's Hitpoints have been decreased from 630 to 590. Guardian drake's combat level has been decreased from 386 to 376. Flat armour has been increased from 0 to 3. Guardian drakes now have a 50% elemental weakness to water spells. Unnoted herbs now drop 1 at a time, down from 1-3, though they drop twice as commonly. They now drop noted raw sharks and raw anglerfish, along with shark lures.
8 May 2024 (Update)	Superior slayer monsters are now guaranteed to drop brimstone keys when on a task from Konar.

Trivia

The Guardian Drake has the highest combat level of all superior slayer monsters.
