Dwarf weed seeds can be planted in a herb patch at level 79 Farming to yield grimy dwarf weed, which, when cleaned, are used in Herblore to make potions.

Planting dwarf weed seeds can be profitable, as long as the player takes precautions to minimise disease. The use of Ultracompost (or the enhanced Fertile Soil spell) is strongly recommended to help prevent disease and increase the average yield to where a decent profit can be made.

Nearby gardeners will not watch over herb patches, nor will a fully grown white lily plant protect them from disease.

They are obtainable from sources such as monsters, seed packs, and Master Farmers.

Picking some dwarf weed from the patch in Catherby is a task in the elite Kandarin Diary.

Average harvest yield

Dwarf weed has a minimum of 3 harvest lives, increasing by 1 for each tier of compost used (for a maximum of 6 when using ultracompost). While harvesting dwarf weed, there is a chance to not consume a harvest life dependent on the player's Farming level. This chance scales from 26.6% at level 1 to 31.6% at level 99, interpolating linearly in between.

Players can now dig up healthy herb patches before they're fully grown. To prevent players from gaining experience repeatedly by planting and digging up herb seeds, the experience usually gained from planting them is now given when harvesting them, alongside the usual harvesting experience.
