The vine seeds are a quest item given to the player during the Garden of Tranquillity quest by the gardener Bernald. In order to obtain the seeds the player must help save the grapevines that are growing in the garden behind Bernald's house in south-east Burthorpe. To save the vines the player must mix some rune dust into a magical plant cure that can then be poured on the existing vines.

The vine seeds then need to be planted in Queen Ellamaria's garden behind Varrock Palace, where vines will grow.
