Hespori seeds are a type of seed requiring level 65 Farming to plant, and that can only be planted in the Hespori patch with a seed dibber in the cave found in the west wing of the Farming Guild. They can be randomly obtained from checking the health of fully grown trees, bushes or cacti, from the last harvest of a regular plant such as herbs, hops, allotments, flowers, mushrooms, cacti, giant seaweed, coral, or from completing farming contracts.^[1]

When fully grown, it will grow into the Hespori, a demi-boss that can be defeated for 12,600 Farming experience. It is not necessary to water or compost a Hespori plant, nor does it need protection from disease. It takes 22–32 hours to grow, depending on when it was planted. The flower behind the cave entrance will be in bloom when the Hespori plant is fully grown.

Players can speak to Arno if they wish to stop randomly receiving Hespori seeds as they harvest, clear, or check the health of their crops around Gielinor.

Hespori seeds are most commonly dropped from plants grown in Special patches; players looking to fight Hespori more often should consider growing cactus, nightshade, mushrooms and giant seaweed. Giant seaweed is a popular choice as the seaweed spores are easily obtainable, grow quickly, and have a 1/15 chance to drop a Hespori seed; similar to the Tangleroot, this is rolled on the last harvesting attempt.^[2]

If the player has no room in their inventory, they will not receive a Hespori seed. In most cases, the chance of receiving a Hespori seed is 500 times the base chance of the Tangleroot.^[3] At 99 Farming, the effective chance of Tangleroot per Hespori seeds received is between 1/252.2^[4] and 1/497.3^[5]. Note this is outside Tithe farm and does not account for Hespori seeds received from seed packs.

Unlike many other seeds, Hespori seeds cannot be used to fill birdhouses.

The seed chance is rolled primarily during a patch's check health stage; if the patch does not have an option to check health, it instead rolls during the final harvest. The rates do not scale by the player's Farming level.^[6]
