Raw sweetcorn is a food item that can be picked from fields in Outer Fortis, Kastori, or grown through the Farming skill at level 20 with sweetcorn seeds in allotment patches. When picking sweetcorn from fields, players may randomly receive 1 sweetcorn seed. When planted in an allotment patch, Sweetcorn can be protected with 10 Jute fibres.

They are used in Cooking to make tuna potatoes. Cooking sweetcorn gives a decent amount of experience and thus is one of the ways that low-level members train their Cooking skill.

9 sweetcorn are needed to protect growing apple trees. Adding them to a compost bin makes regular compost.

Sweetcorn can be used at a windmill to get the pot of cornflour required to free Sir Amik Varze in the Recipe for Disaster subquest.

Players have few choices outside of the Farming skill for reliable bulk gathering, as Sweetcorn cannot be placed in any form of container or sack, and many shops do not carry stock.

One notable method is to pick Sweetcorn from the fields in Kastori near the Tool Leprechaun. The Sweetcorn can be used on the Tool Leprechauns to turn into noted form. Kastori is favourable due to the amount of Tool Leprechauns in relatively close proximity to Sweetcorn fields (Two located North and South of the Eastern-most Sweetcorn Field, at the Fruit Tree and Flower patches).

Gathering Sweetcorn in bulk can be beneficial for creation of Tuna and corn, used to make Tuna potato which heal 13 Hitpoints and 22 Hitpoints respectively, granting 204xp and 309.5xp respectively to Cooking.
