Mushroom spores can be planted at the mushroom patch at level 53 Farming to yield six bittercap mushrooms. The only mushroom patch in game can be found west of Canifis (Fairy ring CKS). Successfully harvesting these mushrooms is a task in the hard tier of the Morytania diary.

This patch does not have a nearby gardener and therefore cannot be protected from disease. Having an attas plant growing in the anima patch makes it possible to harvest more than six mushrooms per spore.

Mushroom spores can be obtained by pickpocketing from Master Farmers (requiring level 38 Thieving), from seed packs, or as a drop from various monsters.
