Bittercap mushrooms are mushrooms that may be grown at level 53 Farming by planting a mushroom spore in a mushroom patch. Players cannot pay nearby farmers to protect their mushroom patch.

A mushroom spore will take up to 4 hours to mature. Once mature, the mushroom produces six bittercap mushrooms at a time. The mushroom does not regrow after being fully harvested. Having an attas plant growing in the anima patch makes it possible to harvest more than six mushrooms per spore.

Planting a mushroom spore in a mushroom patch grants 61.5 Farming experience. Players can only harvest the patch after that granting 57.7 Farming experience each.

Successfully harvesting bittercap mushrooms is a task in the hard tier of the Morytania diary.
