Kronos plant is a Farming plant grown at level 76 Farming. Kronos is a type of anima plant, which don't provide any crops but activate special effects while the plant is alive. It is grown by planting a Kronos seed in the anima patch located in the intermediate tier of the Farming Guild. The seeds are obtained exclusively from the Hespori. Planting a Kronos seed gives 100 Farming experience.

From the moment the seed is planted, the Kronos plant provides a chance for farming patches worldwide (excluding itself) to skip a growth stage during their next growth cycle; this chance is shared between all farming patches of that growth cycle. For example, if a 20 minute growth cycle is skipped, both herb and bush patches (which advance a growth stage every 20 minutes) will skip a growth stage. Multiple growth stages can be skipped in the same farming tick. Every growth stage, including skipped ones, will check for disease and pause at the stage which the plant was afflicted.

The plant will provide this effect for approximately 3.5 days (8 x 640 mins) before dying. To maximise the duration of the plant's effects, it is recommended to plant it ~10 minutes after the farming tick occurs in the following times (UTC):

• Day 1: 12:00 AM, 10:40 AM, 9:20 PM
• Day 2: 8:00 AM, 6:40 PM
• Day 3: 5:20 AM, 4:00 PM
• Day 4: 2:40 AM, 1:20 PM

The next growth stage will occur in approximately 0 hours and 23 minutes (refresh).

Once the Kronos plant reaches its eighth growth stage (~74 hours after planting), it will begin to take on a withered appearance, indicating the plant will die in the next growth stage, though the benefits will remain until death. In order to reap the Kronos plant's benefits again, players must clear the anima patch and plant another Kronos seed. The plant cannot be resurrected with the Resurrect Crops spell.
