Rosewood tree (Farming)

Rosewood trees are trees that may be grown with the Farming skill. Level 92 farmers may grow a rosewood tree by planting a rosewood sapling in a hardwood tree patch using a spade. When planted, the nearby farmer will watch over a growing rosewood tree in exchange for 8 dragonfruit, which may be noted.

A rosewood tree sapling will take 9 hardwood growth ticks (at most 5,760 minutes or 4 days) to grow to mature. Once mature, the tree grows into a rosewood tree which can be harvested for rosewood logs.

Planting a rosewood sapling in a hardwood tree patch grants 252 Farming experience. Checking the health of a rosewood tree grants 23,100 Farming experience. If buying the rosewood seed and dragonfruit on the Grand Exchange, it will cost around 164,785 per tree, assuming one pays a gardener.

To reduce the effectiveness of tick manipulation, rosewood trees in the hardwood patches do not follow the 458 tick depletion cycle and may deplete much earlier. Additionally, they also respawn after 2 minutes and 30 seconds which is slower than regular rosewood trees.^[1]
